Do bells on kitty collars help protect birds?
I see one of our visitors used this as a search. We had previously answered that as Another Cat Myth! Never, ever have I seen it seriously considered by a qualified biologist or avian specialist. A bell is the last thing many birds hear, that it will save the bird is merely a theory of the feline apologists. Most bird's startle reflexes are stimulated by movement, not sound.
