I suppose you already know where my priorities are. It's good to see at least some folks who agree with me visit here! The purpose of this blog is to make it clear to everyone, or at least the majority of voters. :-)

I would like to see this counter on every bird and nature site where it can be posted. I think this is great way to bring the issue to the birders. Kudos-a very good idea.
Thank you very much, yes, as you mentioned on your blog the feral cat enablers are already organized, and their members even weaken some of the bird organizations. What we have to do is properly frame our positions. For instance, I've been asking TNR managers how they can term their re-abandonment of a pet species into the wild as anything but inhumane!
TNR operators need regulation-mandatory training, inspections, license & continuing education. Anythign less is anrachy which is what we have now. Elected fokls eveyr hwere have told me they don't restrict their cats and never will. The Cat Breeders and TNR folk do not believe in registration or leash laws. All hate liter boxes and don't really care about their free roaming pets except where their emotions and pride are concerned. Open Records adn mandatory registration are our 1st defense. Free roaming cats must be recognized for the detrimental environmental pest they truly are. Every bird organization should have a policy statement on free roaming cats & if possible a front page link to ABC's Cat Indoors!. Cat Indoors has a new film coming out soon that details the cat ranchers & exposes some of their intellectual defects and civic failures. In Lake Jackson, home of the Gulf Caost Bird Observatory, the city council has decided to retain an exemption to the leash laws allowing cats to roam free. This may be because several council members and key city employees have free roaming cats and do not want to stop. Anyone who want to can write the Brazosport Facts @ thefacts.com. Alley Cat Allies has 180K members-sing up for their emails. I do. Their members or supporters have kicked in my fenders, sent hate mail, and made nasty phone calls that scared the wife. I have has my unrelated profession attacked because of my civic stand on free roaming companion animals. We have to stnad up to these people so once again it will be a a sin to kill a mockingbird.

I'd prefer we simply outlaw them completely, but it may take some time to educate the public to what the pet enablers have been doing behind their backs.
