Cat hater. How many times have I heard those words as accusations from the feral and roaming cat supporters when I am condemning the domestic animal's invasive presence in our ecology? The cat proponents use the term liberally, even while making light of or denying completely the terrible devastation their darling cats wreak on our native fauna.
Does that mean they are bird haters?
No, I don't hate the cats, though I loathe the killing and destruction they do in the wild. It is not the fault of the poor miserable house cat (who should be indoors safe and pampered), but that of irresponsible pet owners and feral cat enablers.
